Reservations

You can make a reservation either by (1) calling (540) 740-4281 and speaking with the Innkeeper or (2) making the Webervation reservation on-line (just click the check availability/book button).

Holiday and October Bookings

All holidays which fall on a weekend or a “three day weekend” require a two day booking. We accept single day reservations at all other times.

Three or more day bookings

Any booking that is made for three or more days requires a 50% deposit to be made by personal check, cashiers check, or money order.  The deposit must be made within two weeks of making the reservation.

Multiple suite bookings

Booking for two or more suites by the same person requires a 50% deposit to be made by personal check, cashiers check, or money order. The deposit must be received within two weeks of making the reservation.

JMU Graduation and “Family Weekend” bookings

Special events like May JMU graduation and October “family weekend” require full suite capacity bookings, a minimum two day stay, and a non-refundable full payment made by personal check, cashiers check, or money order.   What do we mean by “full suite capacity bookings?” Since there is an extremely high demand at these events by families with children for suites which sleep three to four people, we like to reserve these suites for families of three or more.   Please note that bookings require a non-refundable advance payment within two weeks after making the reservation.

Cancellation policy

On all other weekends (except JMU graduation, JMU “family weekend,”  and holiday weekends) we have a 10 day cancellation policy.  You must call (540) 740-4281 or e-mail and let us know if you have to cancel, but please do so at least 10 days prior to the date of your reservation.  Booked guests who simply do not show up will be responsible for the full amount due for the number of days they have reserved, and their credit card will be charged.  If an emergency comes up or the weather prevents your arrival we will issue a “rain check” which is good for a period of one year.

Payment

We accept a valid credit card to hold the reservation, but ask that you make final payment by cash, personal check, or travelers check upon arrival and check-in.  Please note that full payment for your stay (minus any deposit you have made) is always made at time of check-in.

Check-in/out time

Check-in time is between 3:00pm and 9pm.  Check-out is at 11am.

No smoking

We have a “No Smoking” policy in the main house and cottage.

Pets

We have no facilities for pets.
