Ever thought about trying some traditional “Hard Cider?” Then stay with us and drive over to Old Hill Hard Cider “cidery” at Showalter’s Orchard (15 minutes away) in Timberville and taste their delicious hard cider during the first “Virginia Cider Week” the week before Thanksgiving. Old Hill Hard Cider is one of only six “cideries” in the state. Annette Boyd, director of the Virginia Wine Board Marketing office says that “Virginia has a very strong heritage in cider, but it all died during Prohibition. It’s just now coming back.” So go ahead, be brave, and try some. We did, and it’s delicious.

A very nice B&B. We had a great visit.
Lovely people and accommodations—Thank You.
Thank you for a lovely place to spend our anniversary, but especially for the time and effort spent to return my camera to me. Thanks again.
Beautiful home and views.
Thanks for all of the hospitality.

This was our third stay. Your breakfasts are fantastic. Our favorite has always been the French toast topped with cherry sauce, until you served us the olive oil grilled white asparagus spears wrapped with prosiutto ham and egg on top. It was simply scrumptious.

J and I had a wonderful vacation and the two of you and your home were the ones which started it off in grand style. We still remark about how we felt as though we were staying at someone’s house (which we were) as opposed to staying at a building that someone had turned into a B&B.
Thanks for being so hospitable to us. We loved our time here.
Terry and Darlene
Our first experience at staying at a B&B was wonderful because of you.

We hiked the 20 acre property located at the base of the mountain, and discovered a “mansion” rich in history beyond our imagination…The “Museum room” is a must see. To top it all off, our restored suite of two large rooms and a king bed was pristine and very comfortable, the gourmet food was great (Creole scrambled eggs, hash browns, and country sausage), and we made new friends at the breakfast table. We will be back next year for our great escape.
Our first bed and breakfast experience was most enjoyable. The storied history of your area and the cave experience in addition to being with our family at your remarkable residence were the most unique aspects of our out-of-state wedding.

Thank you for your gracious hospitality of your most pleasant bed and breakfast.

Many thanks again for making ‘our day’ in the mountains so special. We are still talking to each other and others about your wonderful place. We wish you joy and success.
